Vision Board Ideas to Get Ready for the New Year

For most of us, the New Year is all about making a resolution and sticking with it. Even though we vow that we will stay committed, let’s be honest most of us don’t. In fact, by February most people either give up on their resolutions or forget that they made one. Since were only weeks away from starting a brand New Year, we want to help you stay focused and committed to the resolution(s) you are going to make this year. One of the best ways to do so is by creating vision board.

A vision board is a creative way to stay focused on your goals. Creating a vision board will give you the opportunity to constantly see your goals and keep you motivated to put them into action. For example, if your New Years resolution is to lose weight and maintain a healthy diet, you should create a fitness vision board. Adding motivational words or thoughts will help to keep you determined as well. You can have more than one goal on your vision board. Just try not to overwhelm yourself.

Here’s what you will need to create your vision board:

  • Poster boards
  • Magazines and quotes that represent your goals
  • Glue Stick or Tape
  • Pictures of yourself (family, friends, etc.)
  • Markers

Keep in mind that this board is a representation of you and what you want to see happen. Creating your vision board should be lots of fun. Place it somewhere so that you can see it in the morning when you wake up and right before you go to sleep at night. The more you see it the more focus and energy you will put into achieving those goals. If you decide to create a vision board for 2015 please tag #ClassyRatchet we’d love to see your boards. GOOD LUCK!
