Joining a gym is a great way to get in shape. But what if you can’t make it to the gym everyday and rather avoid the New Year Resolution crowd. Well there’s ways to tone your body and be summer ready without the gym. Here are some fun workouts to do outside of the gym:
Create your own bootcamp
If you love a challenge a bootcamp is right up your alley. Bootcamp-style workouts are a lot of fun. All you need is a good pair of sneakers and some dedicated friends that would be happy to join you. You can do workouts such as jumping jacks, push-ups, high knees and sit-ups for 60-90 secs each.
Try a track workout
To some running on a treadmill can get boring. So as long as the weather isn’t too chilly a track workout burns more calories than any other cardio activity. Running on a track might not sound too exciting, but that’s not the only form of workout you have to do while you are there. Changing up your speed will keep the workout interesting and challenge your body.
Groupon is the holy grail of discounts so take advantage of it as much as you can. Groupon offers discounts for workout classes, whether its yoga, rock climbing or spin classes.
At Home Workouts
For those of you that aren’t too fond of classes you can workout right in the comfort of your own home. You might be thinking well I live in an apartment and I don’t want to make too much noise. There’s light cardio workouts that are available on Youtube and doing core workouts such as abs and legs won’t make a sound.
