“Giving up on your goal because of the setback is like slashing your other three tires because you got a flat.”
Since I decided to go in a different direction with today’s Self-Sunday post I want to suggest the same to you. Let’s start by first thinking of one goal that you want to achieve. Doesn’t matter if it’s big or small. Now that you have your goal in mind, start thinking about what will motivate you to achieve this goal. Ignore how long you “think” it will take and highlight all the positives of achieving this goal. If you need to make a list or start writing things definitely do that! Always remember motivation gets you going and habits gets you there.
Now you might have or have not started thinking this is my millionth and one attempt at this goal and if it is that’s perfectly fine. Just know that this will be your last because you can and will achieve that goal. Let your goal excite you! Anything is possible. People always think the next person has more will power and can do this or that, because of the lifestyle that they have lived. But in reality some people are just ready to change and others are not. The tragedy in life does not lie in not reaching your goal. The tragedy lies in not having no goals to reach.
Think of it this way you have made it this far. Why stop now? And even if you were on your way there you can still make it there! Believe in yourself and know that you are capable. Know that there is something inside you that is greater than any obstacle.
