Memorial day is just as important as New Years Day. It’s not just a holiday to pay homage to the military. It is the official kickoff of the summer season. To point you in the right direction, we’ve decided to provide some of the hottest places to be to help you enjoy the holiday/holiday weekend.

Here are the top places to be for Memorial Day Weekend:


If you want to turn up then Vegas is an obvious choice for a weekend getaway. You can expect large crowds in Vegas during this 3-day weekend, but what would Vegas be without the pool-goers, booze guzzlers and daring gamblers? Pool parties on the strip will definitely be a scene, as well as the clubs, restaurants and bars.

If you want to go hardcore patriotic, there really isn’t a more suitable place than D.C. With tons of military ceremonies, visitors can also attend the National Memorial Day Parade or the Rolling Thunder Run to the Wall motorcycle rally. For those that want to pay their respects there will be several military ceremonies along with free concerts.


If you like Jazz and would love to spend your 3-day weekend at a festival, the Atlanta Jazz Festival is the perfect choice for you. From May 22nd to the 24th you will be able to enjoy local artists as well as special guests in Piedmont Park. And if you plan on bringing the kids along their will be plenty of activities such as, face-painting, balloon art and playgrounds.

If you’re on the east coast or headed that way, you won’t want to miss Fleet Week in the city. Fleet week is an annual NYC tradition that will begins May 20th until May 26th. During fleet week you will be able to military band concerts, aerial demonstrations by the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps. You will also be able to tour ships and attend free concerts in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Once the day is over, you can begin turning up because there will be tons of parties to attend throughout the 3-day weekend.


Houston will be turnt ALL the way up this weekend for the 2nd Annual “Houston Appreciation Weekend” hosted by Drake! The weekend kicks off tonight with a Bun B tribute show and after party at one of our favorite spots in H-town, 5th Amendment.
