Mid-Month Check In: Check What You’re Doing

2015 is finally in full swing and the first month of the year is behind us. How are you feeling? Are you still focusing on your resolutions? If you answered positively to both questions then you are on right track. But if not, its still early and there’s plenty of time.

Here are some tips to help keep you motivated and focused:

Start on a Monday 

It’s easier to commit to a goal when its started with a concrete benchmark in mind. If you didn’t start on New Years Day, then start today! There’s nothing more motivating that starting on a brand new week. But never put off what you can do today, until tomorrow.

Break down your work 

If you were feeling overwhelmed in January then chances are you might have too many. Of course nothing is impossible, but in order to achieve anything you should do it in moderation. Break down your goals before you break down. You shouldn’t start a brand new year feeling overwhelmed.

Know your limits 

You are not going to lose 30 pounds in a month. But can you lose 30 pounds by the end of the year? Definitely! Instead of having a can of soda drink a bottle of water. And instead of eating a pint of Ben and Jerry’s eat a bowl of vegetables or fruits.

Think of the results 

If your working on health and fitness think of how great you will feel in your bikini or how amazing you will look on vacation. If you have decided to put a limit on your spending think of what you will be able to do with your money. Constantly remind yourself “why” you are working towards your goals.

Speak things into existence 

The more you talk about it the more you will want to make it happen. Start envisioning yourself where you want to be. This will motivate you to achieve your goal. It all begins with your mind!

Resolutions are like coupons; they don’t expire. You can put them into action at anytime. But why wait when you can start now! Never put off what you can do today, until tomorrow. Your future self will thank you in the end.
