A new week can be a bit overwhelming after having a good weekend! But we can’t let that prevent the possibility of a having a productive week/day. We all want more time to get more done. We are all given the same 24 hours. But why is it that some people are just so efficient at squeezing more out of every moment of the day? Well there are no secrets but there’s definitely a technique to make each day/week a productive one.
Here are 5 tips to have a productive week:
1. Stop planning, Start doing.
It’s always good to write down things down, but in this case you don’t have to. If you’ve been off organizing your closet, there’s no need to write that down just make the time to do it and stop talking about doing it.
2. Plan your day accordingly.
Make a schedule! Start off with the biggest or most important task. Not the smallest or easiest. Since it’s Monday you want to get the most important task done at the beginning of the week.
3. Drink water.
There’s nothing like a cup of coffee in the morning. But drinking water right after you wake up is so much better. Water hydrates you, gives you energy and will help you stay focused.
4. Get everything out of your head.
You won’t remember everything you have to do. So grab a pen and paper and start jotting down notes or set reminders on your cell phone. By writing down everything that needs to be done in the week you will have a better picture of what needs to be accomplished.
5. Don’t be a perfectionist.
If you keep chasing perfection, it could take you longer to get your tasks done and you will most likely be less productive than planned. This will also cause you to lose time when you could be working on the next task. Remember it doesn’t have to be perfect the point is getting it done.
A new week can definitely be overwhelming, but in order to make it less stressful and more productive focus on the most important task first. Time is a luxury! So instead of putting off what you can do today until tomorrow just get it done. You will thank yourself once you’ve completed all of your tasks. Happy Monday! 🙂
