Don’t let Old Man Winter keep you and your families cooped up indoors. Get out and enjoy the most wonderful time of the year. This is the perfect time to get out and have fun. Summer isn’t the only season that allows you to have fun, there’s plenty to do so that you can enjoy winter too.
Here are some activities to try this weekend:
Whether its indoors or outdoors ice skating is so much fun. It’s the perfect time to put on some blades and go have a night or day at the rink with your family or your boo.
New York City is famous for their annual Christmas tree lighting so if you’re in the tri-state area we definitely suggest you go and see the 100ft. tree at Rockefeller Center. But if your not in the area, that’s okay too. Most towns/areas have their own tree lighting ceremony, if so take the kids and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
If you really want to get into the Christmas spirit how about going to see a show or listen to some of your favorite music artists perform. There are several Christmas shows and performances happening right now such as the Nutcracker and the Radio City Rockettes.
If you’re looking to do a family outing going to see the Macys Light Show is perfect! It’s a holiday tradition that has over 100,000 bright LED lights that are combined to create a fantastic holiday image. If you plan to attend go towards the last round of lights so that you can also enjoy their Christmas concert. (The concert will only be happening at a few locations.)
If you’re looking for something a little more adventurous, then sledding and snow tubing is right up your alley. Since it has already begun snowing on the east coast and some places have been hit harder than others you can head to a resort or you can probably have just as much fun right outside your door.
If you decide to do any of the activities we have suggested we hope you and your families have tons of fun and enjoy the holiday season. Happy Holidays!
