Late nights, early mornings, hectic schedules and possibly completing mom duties, you forget to make time for yourself. This weekend I want you to take a deep breathe and clear your schedule it’s all about YOU! If you have further commitments that were made prior you can still be there, but at least take one day this weekend to pamper yourself and put yourself first.
Here are some suggestions to help you enjoy your ME time:
This is probably one of the best ways to unwind. No phones allowed! Just you and your masseuse. Some spas have inexpensive packages that will include a full massage and facial.
Manicure & Pedicure
If you can’t make it to a spa, a mani and pedi is the next best thing. I love going to a nail salon and getting pampered. Try making an appointment or stopping in when there’s barely any customers that way you won’t be disturbed. Grab a magazine and put in some headphones to help tune out the background noise.
Get your makeup done
Most makeup counters, such as Mac Cosmetics, Kiko Milano and Bobby Brown will give you a full glam/makeover right on the spot. This is a great way to boost your confidence and will possibly make you want to go out later on that night.
Go to the Gym
This might not sound too relaxing, but you’d be surprised how rejuvenated you’ll feel after a good sweat and hard workout. If your boss has been a pain this week, put all of that energy and frustration into your workout. You’ll feel amazing after, I promise. Once your workout is complete hit the sauna and follow that with a nap if you’d like.
You might be an extremely busy person and you probably feel like you have to make every minute and hour count. If you can make time to attend certain events, you can at least take one day to focus on you. After all, everybody deserves some ME time!
